Cello Lessons for Every Stage

Early Years | Ages 3-5

A playful and nurturing introduction to the cello inspired by the Suzuki Method. Young children learn through listening, imitation, repetition, and encouragement, much like they learn to speak. Parents are actively involved, helping to make music a joyful part of everyday life.

Beginning Cello | Ages 6 - 9

Building strong foundations while keeping music engaging and enjoyable. Students develop healthy playing technique, listening skills, rhythm, note reading, and musical confidence through an encouraging, step-by- step approach.

Young Musicians | Ages 10 -12

Developing technique, independence, and musical expression as students grow. Lessons build stronger note-reading, rhythm, tone, and musicianship while encouraging students to explore music they enjoy and take pride in their progress.

Teens | Ages 13 - 17

Lessons designed to meet teens where they are - whether they are beginning the cello for the first time or continuing to develop their skills. Students build technique, musical expression, and confidence while exploring repertoire that reflects their interests and goals.

Whether you’re picking up the cello for the first time, returning after years away, or looking to continue developing your skills, lessons are tailored to your individual goals. Adult students learn in a relaxed, supportive environment with an emphasis on good technique, musical expression, and — most importantly— the joy of making music.

Designed especially for young beginners, these shorter lessons are carefully paced to match young attention spans, helping children stay engaged and successful while building a strong musical foundation.

Beginning Child
Ages 6-9
30-minute Lesson

$28 + tax

Ideal for beginners who are ready for a longer lesson, as well as junior students who are not yet ready for a 45-minute lesson. This lesson provides plenty of time to develop technique, reading skills, and musical confidence at a comfortable pace.

Ideal for students who are ready for more focused study. The 45 minute lesson allows additional time to develop technique, reading skills, musical expression and repertoire while continuing to build confidence and independence.

Teen & Adult
60-minute Lesson

$55 +tax

Ideal for students who are ready for more in-depth study. The 60 minute lesson provides time to work extensively on technique, repertoire, musical expression, performance skills, and supporting continued growth and musical independence.
